Genspect is an international organisation based out of Birr, Offaly, Ireland, which functions as a media campaign it claims on behalf of parents of gender questioning young people. Genspect is led by its foudner/director Stella O'Malley.

Genspect and its members have been involved in a wide array of amicus briefs in support of legislation across America attempting to criminalise or defund healthcare for trans children and and adolescents.[Citation Needed]

Trans science researcher Zinnia Jones discovered that an "Open Letter" promoted by Genspect submitted as a proposal to the American Academy of Pediatrics by 5 redacted “professionals” was lead by a member of (strongly overlapped anti-trans medical group) SEGM.

Genspect's open letter itself was signed by multiple conversion therapists including Miriam Grossman who is notorious for a lengthy career of engaging in and promoting her "Gay Cure" beliefs.

Previously Genspect used IFTCC (a conversion therapy advocacy group) and ACPeds (religious extremist lobby group) affiliated endocrinologist Michael K Laidlaw to promote their Detrans Awareness Day.

Following a meeting between trans advocacy organisations and the president of the scientific council for DILCRAH (France's National Human Rights Institution) proposals were made by the delegate to instigate investigation of Genspect's advice to psychologists, psychotherapists and counselors on the suspicion that “that the approach promoted in [Genspect's] guide is similar to conversion therapy”.

Genspect advises that schools ban "tucking" or "binding". Actually enforcing either of these bans would require school staff to engage in inspection of children's undergarments.

Genspect has a striking amount of overlap in its membership with partisan science thinktank SEGM.
